Cet article examine l’impact du d\u00e9ficit budg\u00e9taire sur l’inflation au Burkina Faso en utilisant une approche \u00e9conom\u00e9trique. Le d\u00e9ficit budg\u00e9taire est la diff\u00e9rence n\u00e9gative entre les ressources et les d\u00e9penses de l\u2019Etat. Il est un indicateur important des politiques budg\u00e9taires et de la situation financi\u00e8re d’un pays. L’inflation, quant \u00e0 elle, mesure la hausse g\u00e9n\u00e9rale des prix des biens et services dans une \u00e9conomie.<\/p>\n
L’\u00e9tude utilise des donn\u00e9es \u00e9conomiques et financi\u00e8res du Burkina Faso sur une p\u00e9riode donn\u00e9e et applique des techniques \u00e9conom\u00e9triques avanc\u00e9es pour analyser la relation entre le d\u00e9ficit budg\u00e9taire et l’inflation. Les mod\u00e8les \u00e9conom\u00e9triques sont utilis\u00e9s pour estimer l’effet du d\u00e9ficit budg\u00e9taire sur l’inflation, en tenant compte d’autres variables \u00e9conomiques pertinentes telles que l\u2019IPM l\u2019Indice des Prix \u00e0 l\u2019Importation et M2\u00a0 la Masse mon\u00e9taire, etc.<\/p>\n
La variable d\u00e9ficit budg\u00e9taire \u00e9vince l’Inflation dans le court terme seulement, tandis que, l\u2019Indice des Prix \u00e0 l\u2019Importation(IPM) entra\u00eene l\u2019inflation aussi bien dans le court terme que dans le long terme\u00a0;<\/p>\n
En effet, le financement du d\u00e9ficit vient r\u00e9soudre des probl\u00e8mes de tr\u00e9sorerie. De ce fait il n\u2019engendre pas d\u2019inflation \u00e0 court terme, mais des risques inflationnistes demeurent.<\/p>\n
L’\u00e9tude souligne donc l’importance d’une gestion prudente des finances publiques pour ma\u00eetriser l’inflation. Des politiques budg\u00e9taires responsables, ax\u00e9es sur la r\u00e9duction du d\u00e9ficit budg\u00e9taire et la ma\u00eetrise de la dette publique contribueraient \u00e0 maintenir la stabilit\u00e9 des prix et favoriser une croissance \u00e9conomique durable.<\/p>\n
En conclusion, cet article met en \u00e9vidence l’impact du d\u00e9ficit budg\u00e9taire sur l’inflation au Burkina Faso \u00e0 travers une approche \u00e9conom\u00e9trique. Les r\u00e9sultats soulignent l’importance d’une gestion prudente des finances publiques pour maintenir la stabilit\u00e9 \u00e9conomique et contr\u00f4ler l’inflation. Ces conclusions peuvent servir de base aux d\u00e9cideurs politiques et aux \u00e9conomistes dans la formulation de politiques \u00e9conomiques appropri\u00e9es visant \u00e0 promouvoir la stabilit\u00e9 macro\u00e9conomique dans le pays.<\/p>\n

The budget deficit is the negative difference between government resources and expenditure. It is an important indicator of a country’s fiscal policies and financial situation. Inflation, on the other hand, measures the general rise in the prices of goods and services in an economy.<\/p>\n The study uses economic and financial data from Burkina Faso over a period of time and applies advanced econometric techniques to analyze the relationship between the budget deficit and inflation.<\/p>\n Econometric models are used to estimate the effect of budget deficit on inflation, taking into account other relevant economic variables such as IPM Import Price Index and M2 Money Supply, etc.<\/p>\n The budget deficit variable crowds out Inflation in the short term only, while the Import Price Index (IPM) drives inflation in both the short and long term;<\/p>\n Indeed, the financing of the deficit solves cash flow problems. As a result, it does not generate inflation in the short term, but inflationary risks remain.<\/p>\n The study therefore underlines the importance of prudent management of public finances to control inflation. Responsible fiscal policies, focused on reducing the budget deficit and controlling public debt, would help maintain price stability and foster sustainable economic growth.<\/p>\n In conclusion, this article highlights the impact of the budget deficit on inflation in Burkina Faso through an econometric approach. The results highlight the importance of prudent management of public finances to maintain economic stability and control inflation.
