Pour \u00e9valuer l\u2019effet de biochar dans le sol de Kinshasa, une exp\u00e9rience a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e dans la concession de la communaut\u00e9 du Mont-Thabor situ\u00e9 sur la route de Kimuenza \u00e0 l\u2019Ouest du plateau des professeurs de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Kinshasa dans la commune de Mont-Ngafula \u00e0 Kinshasa.<br \/>\nCette exp\u00e9rience a port\u00e9 sur l\u2019\u00e9valuation de la capacit\u00e9 de r\u00e9tention en eau des biochars enfouis, l\u2019\u00e9valuation de l\u2019influence de la taille des particules de biochar sur la capacit\u00e9 de r\u00e9tention en eau et de diff\u00e9rencier l\u2019influence de sources de biochar sur la production d\u2019aubergine. Cinq traitements ont \u00e9t\u00e9 appliqu\u00e9s : sol t\u00e9moin (T0 ; sans apport), sol avec biochar d\u2019Acacia de taille inf\u00e9rieur \u00e0 2 mm (T1), sol avec biochar d\u2019Acacia de dimension comprise entre 2 et 4 mm (T2), sol avec biochar d\u2019Hymenocardia de taille inf\u00e9rieur \u00e0 2 mm (T3) et le sol avec le biochar d\u2019Hymenocardia de la taille comprise entre 2 et 4 (T4). Les param\u00e8tres \u00e9daphiques (Le pH, la temp\u00e9rature et la capacit\u00e9 de r\u00e9tention en eau du sol) ont \u00e9t\u00e9 mesur\u00e9s dans les sols t\u00e9moins et dans les m\u00e9langes. Les r\u00e9sultats de cette \u00e9tude ont montr\u00e9 que, l\u2019apport de biochar influence positivement la production de l\u2019aubergine gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ces effets b\u00e9n\u00e9fiques au niveau du sol. Le biochar finement broy\u00e9 a augment\u00e9 la capacit\u00e9 du sol \u00e0 retenir l\u2019eau et par ricochet, il a augment\u00e9 la croissance et la production des aubergines dans les conditions de sols de Kinshasa. Le biochar finement broy\u00e9 a retenu plus d\u2019eau que celui ayant de grande taille. Aucune diff\u00e9rence significative n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 observ\u00e9e entre le biochar d\u2019Acacia sp et celui d\u2019Hymenocardia acida en termes de production. Cette \u00e9tude a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 \u00e9galement le bien fait de l\u2019utilisation de biochars sur tous les param\u00e8tres \u00e9tudi\u00e9s.
