Abstract
Widely prevalent in nature, urogenital mycoplasmas are at the origin of pathologies such as: male genital infections (acute non-gonococcal urethritis, chronic non-gonococcal urethritis, epididymitis), reproductive disorders (spontaneous abortions, chlorioamniotics, fevers postpartum), genital infections (bacterial vaginosis, endometritis, salpingitis), etc. Thus antibiotic resistance in hospitals is a hindrance to therapeutic success. To do this, we will undertake a prospective and descriptive study from July to November 2018 at Saint Vincent de Paul Hospital in Dschang, using a non-probability sampling method on the theme: Sensitivity profile of mycoplasms urogenital antibiotics. So the goal will be to evaluate the sensitivity profile of urogenital mycoplasmas to antibiotics. The Mycoplasma IES kits was used for biochemical identification and realization and antimicrobial susceptibility testing of urogenital mycoplasma. One hundred and forty (140) samples were analyzed. Eighty-one (81) tested positive for mycoplasmas à prevalence of 57.85%. 8/140 (5.71%) of M.hominis, 67/140 (47.85%) of U. urealyticum and 6/140 (4.28%) of co-infection (Mh + Uu) were recorded. On Mycoplasma hominis, doxycicline, ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin, sparfloxacin and levofloxacin they had a 100% sensitivity. On Ureaplasma urealyticum, josamicine has the best activity (91.04%). Ureaplasma urealyticum exhibited a very strong resistance to acetylspiramycin (65.67%), Mycoplasma hominis of acetylspiramycin, roxythromycin, azithromycin and clarithromycin (62.5%). Co-infection (Mh + Uu) presented a 100% sensitivity to doxycicline, Minocycline and sparfloxacin; it exhibited a 100% resistance to acetylspiramycin. The high prevalence of urogenital mycoplasma infection as well as acrobatic résistance to antibiotics conspires all of us to question the need for more effective therapy and to avoid self-medication as a potential source of resistance.
